Outreach Opportunities

As followers of Christ we believe we have a responsibility to teach of Christ’s love and sacrifice to all. One way to begin these conversations is by providing help to those who are in need. We believe that by helping our neighbors and meeting them right where they are, we will be able to introduce ourselves and our Savior to those who don’t yet know him. We meet monthly to do community outreach projects to help with some of life’s basic difficulties. Some of the ways we have ministered to our community in the past year are as follows:

• Delivering Christmas gifts to families in need.
• Distributing coats and outerwear to the homeless.
• Summer picnics in the park along with ministering to those who live in a nearby neighborhood apartment complex.
• Free Thanksgiving Dinner for our community.
• Car Care Clinic for single moms.
• Free carnival and backpacks filled with school supplies for the children in our neighborhood.
• Luncheon honoring our community Police Officers, Firefighters, and other public servants.

Once people feel comfortable enough to visit us at our Carr Street facility we provide them with a quarterly Visitor’s Breakfast as well as teach them the basics of the Christian belief through our semi-annual ALPHA course. We also help our newest members to get plugged into Small Group Bible Studies and Adult Sunday School Classes.
